Introduction to Dr Amanda Chisholm,
General Practitioner in the Cayman Islands

Dr Amanda Chisholm is a General Practitioner with a passion for lifestyle medicine, prevention, and helping patients achieve long-term wellbeing. She trained at the University of Leeds Medical School and has worked across the UK in hospital and community settings, gaining experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, women’s health, psychiatry, and primary care before qualifying as a GP.

Amanda believes that excellent healthcare goes beyond treating illness. Her approach focuses on understanding the whole person — their lifestyle, environment, and personal goals — and working in partnership with patients to support healthier, more balanced lives. She is particularly interested in women’s health, mental wellbeing, metabolic disease (diabetes and obesity) and the role of lifestyle in preventing and managing chronic disease.

Alongside her clinical work, Amanda has a strong commitment to health education and empowering communities with practical knowledge about wellbeing. Through her platform, Life with Dr Amanda, she shares accessible health information and lifestyle advice with a wider audience.

At Optimal Healthcare, Amanda is excited to combine evidence-based medicine with a holistic and preventive approach, supporting patients in the Cayman Islands to optimise their health and quality of life.
