Creating a new facility for modern healthcare
Optimal Healthcare is taking a significant step forward in enhancing the healthcare landscape of the Cayman Islands with our new state-of-the-art clinic at Cayman Center now set to rapidly take shape. This innovative facility aims to set new standards in a medical care facility, initially in paediatrics, whilst extending our vision for modern, sustainable healthcare into other general and specialist areas.
The first focus of the new clinic will be on providing exceptional paediatric care, in which the facilities truly enhance the care. Dr Sara Watkin, a highly experienced paediatrician and neonatologist, leads our clinic’s paediatric services.
“The clinic is designed to cater to children from newborns to 18 years old, addressing a wide spectrum of health needs from routine immunizations and well-child checks to managing complex medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD and autism. We wanted to create a facility that supports best care in these areas, rather than just providing a room.”
The clinic’s design will prioritise creating a healing environment, integrating natural light, pristine design and innovative spaces to foster relaxation and engagement. The facility will be equipped with the latest medical technologies, including advanced diagnostic tools and telemedicine capabilities, ensuring comprehensive and accessible care.
In addition to paediatrics, Optimal Healthcare’s new clinic will offer various other specialties, promoting an integrated approach to healthcare, reflecting our mission to transform healthcare delivery through innovation, excellence, and always through a uniquely a patient-centered approach.
Andrew Vincent, Director at Optimal Healthcare, has led the conceptualisation and design through a leading local firm of artchitects.
“Healthcare is rapidly evolving and it is important that facilities keep up. At the same time, here in Cayman we are experiencing a strange challenges to sustainability and accessibility, leaving our population increasingly in a position where what can be done in medicine has never been more adavnced but people’s access to it is eroding due to the cost of care and insurance. We aim to change that, and it starts with having suitable facilities with which to do so.”
The new Optimal Healthcare clinic at Cayman Center will represent a milestone in the healthcare services available to residents of George Town, Seven Mile, South Sound and further, providing high-quality, comprehensive medical care in a state-of-the-art facility. Our Centre not only aims to improve health outcomes but also to enhance the overall patient experience, setting new standards for healthcare in the region.
We look forward to updating you further.
