A Message on behalf of Dr Sara Regarding Best of Cayman 2025 Nominations
Hi Everyone.
I wanted to let you all know that, although I been nominated (again – thank you!) to be part of Best of Cayman 2025, I will not be participating and therefore wanted to save you all the voting efforts on my behalf!
Obviously celebrating good service, commitment, quality etc is a very worthwhile activity, and rewarding to the nominated individuals. I am always humbled by things people say and their efforts. However, Best of Cayman has some attributes that are not aligned with genuine feedback or proper recognition, including:
- It allows organisations to vote for themselves
- It allows individuals within organisations to vote for themesleves or co-workers
- It allows voting every day, and thus ‘vote stacking’
Unfortunately, this means that an organisation with 100 persons can vote for themselves every day, 100 times over. In the voting count, a single service provider, ethically and humbly not voting for themselves, might in fact have a very high proportion of external votes as a function of their size, but cannot ever place well versus the 100 person organisation voting for itself, daily, even if not a single external, real client voted for them.
Because of this, my choice is simply just not to participate.
That said, all good organisations should welcome and embrace feedback, and I am certainly no different. I love it, regardless of what it is, because it helps keep me on my toes and correct things that need attention. So, if you have visited me at Optimal Healthcare, I’d be delighted if you shared your experience. I’d love for you to do that either directly or via Google!
Google reviews
You can leave reviews & ratings about me and my service here (Dr Sara Watkin, Google Feedback). These can be posted in real time, helping others find trusted care more easily. Your feedback here not only supports us in improving but also helps other families make informed decisions. Google Feedback also has facilities to address false commenting.
Thank you very much for your continued support. I am continually humbled by what people say and I hope you understand my little stance on Best of Cayman. I’d love to support the initiative if the issues are addressed. In the meantime, from outset, I am politely declining to participate.
Best wishes
Dr Sara & Team Optimal
